DAY 36 of 50 – My Mid-Life Crisis

Yes, with only 14 days until I turn age 50 — I think I’m having a Mid-Life Crisis.
It was bound to happen. All of this “living life to the fullest” — well, I was likely to CRACK at some point.
In my family, women lose their minds at 50. It’s true! My mom (and dad) adopted me, as a newborn baby, at age 50. Who does that???  My sister (and her husband) adopted 3 Russian Orphans at age 50. Crazy???  Yes, and fabulous too.
No, I’m not on any adoption lists. And I don’t plan on buying diapers any time soon. (Although I did consider buying a Baby Bunny last week!) But I did get a new addition to my family — a motorhome!
Crazy? Probably. But I got a great deal on it, had some help in assessing it as a viable purchase, and (most importantly) it fulfills a Bucket List Wish of mine. One that I’ve had for a very long time.
Years ago we had wonderful friends that had a motorhome — and we had an amazing arrangement with them:  we’d stay at their house with their 3 small kids one weekend, and the next weekend they’d hand us the keys to their motorhome. It was a great deal for all of us! We went to Yellowstone, Zions, Moab, and all around in that motorhome — and we loved spending time with their kids anyway.
The memories of those great times never faded, and the desire for more great times has increased. And I figure, heck, I’m not getting any younger!
It’s older, needs a little work, and I have some big plans for it. Remodeling, learning about RV systems, and planning some fun roadtrips are all in my future. Stay tuned for more info about this new adventure!
